Alexander Stadium: 4th September
With 8 teams from around Great Britain competing, Andrew was the comfortable winner in the 400m hurdles, with another Gold medal in 54.4 seconds. To add to this, he also took the Silver medal in the 100m Hurdles. In the 400m relay team hurdles, the Harrow team took 2 seconds off their club record.
At the end of the day, Andrew was voted Under 17s Athlete of the Match for his Outstanding performance.
AAA Birmingham: 15th August
Racing against representatives from all over the country at the Amateur Athletics Association meeting in Birmingham, Andrew achived an impressive 54.6 seconds in the 400 metres hurdles, to take the Gold Medal.
Following this, Andrew has received a letter from uk:athletics to confirm that he has become eligable for the 2004/5 Regional Talent Development Squad for the London region. Individuals who join the squad are expected to be progressing towards or already part of the World Class Potential Programme. The aim is to prepare individuals for national and international competition, assisting both coach and athlete with performance development.
UK National Young Athletics League: 18th July
Harrow Athletic Club were victorious in the fourth round of the United Kingdom National Young Athletics League at their home ground at Bannister Sports Ground on Sunday 18th July. Andrew was with them, and he won the under-17 400m hurdles in 57.4 sec, and the under-17 100m hurdles in a fast 13.9 sec. This means that Andrew has contributed to Harrow Athletics club moving a step closer to their appearance in the National Finals for the 22nd time.
English Schools International: 11th July
This has been quite a season for Andrew, as he had just competed in the English Schools International in Gateshead, where he took a Silver medal in the 400m hurdles. The time of 54.34 sec was a Personal Best, and set a new Harrow Athletics Club record.
