"I was fed up with getting Silver - I wanted to get a Gold ": said Andrew, and he got it. Congratulations from many friends and family.
Regional Talent Development Squad
Following his victory in Birmingham, Andrew has received a letter from uk:athletics to confirm that he has become eligable for the 2004/5 Regional Talent Development Squad for the London region. Individuals who join the squad are expected to be progressing towards or already part of the World Class Potential Programme. The aim is to prepare individuals for national and international competition, assisting both coach and athlete with performance development.
Sponsorship
Following Andrew's eligibility for the Regional Talent Development Squad, it is becoming ever more important to arrange for sponsorship for Andrew and his family. Up until now, the majority of the support has come from mum, Karen, and the Harrow Athletics Club. Qualification for England earlier on in the season had helped release some assistance, but more is needed. One of the key costs at the moment is just travel expenses - to enable Andrew to attend as many events over the country.
If you are able to sponsor Andrew, or know someone who may be able to, please contact us about Sponsorship.
